The latest ACSI e-business report is out and the only site in the news and information category that saw an increase was USAToday.com. Now the score is middle of the road, but the score of 74 (on a scale of 0 to 100) leads MSNBC.com, NYTimes.com, ABCNews.com and CNN.com.
The struggles of the local newspapers (Ann Arbor News no longer exists as we once knew it, the Detroit Free Press only offers home delivery 3 days a week, etc.) may be a hidden treasure for USAToday.com, which represents a national newspaper. The site also has one of the cleaner navigation schemes out there.
This is a tough market where the big guys not only compete against their peers, they compete against the regional and local players, the topic specific providers. They also compete for customer loyalty with search engines and portals. And they often struggle to bring their "offline" personality to the online world.

Quick poll:
What is your favorite source for news online?
I like Google News best because it gives me a snapshot of everything. I also check out Washingtonpost.com pretty regularly. I never look at my local newspaper online. My generation supposedly gets all its news from the Daily Show, and I will admit to watching Daily Show episodes online as well!

Definitely Google News and Google Reader... although I am quickly realizing that in the little "news bubble" I've created the biggest stories of the day are most often to related to the latest Apple rumors and international shipping mysteries. Google news, being a great and unbiased news aggregator, does however tend to let certain topics linger.

Aggregate satisfaction with top UK e-retailers is 71 on the study’s 100-point scale, up 4 points and an incredible 6% from last year’s aggregate score of 67). This increase is made all the more notable by the fact that it occurred during a global recession.

It can affect the process of sending data, so it's better use the same file system each other.
