Did you know that 81 million Americans visited a Government Web Site in July? This is according to a comScore release in early September. If I am not mistaken that is more people then voted for our current President.
So what does this mean? There is a lot of buzz and activity going on e-gov these days, from cloud computing to social media to the talk of transparency. But 81 million people visiting government websites in the month of July alone. WOW. That is a lot of traffic. About 1/2 of the traffic the number of visitors to Google sites in July and almost the same amount of visitors to Facebook in July.
